Here with the Röttgen, one of the steepest terraced vineyards in the world,  red slate, steep terraces, and a bit further North along the Mosel where it is slightly warmer making this wine more powerful and longer on the palate yet tighter and more wound up than the other three wines. The 2021 has so much tension, the acid/mineral bones of it are pulling on the whole wine, keeping it taut, sharp, precise. It doesn't just linger on the palate, but in the mind, a wine to think about, connect with, covet. This wine will age extremely well.
